Meet Our Founder

Hi, I'm Chelsea

and I am unapologetically geeky. I love learning about teaching methods, whether it's from books, research papers, or talking with amazing colleagues. I love teaching ballet and helping others increase their confidence, strength, and grace through this amazing art form.

Geeky Ballerina started as a way for me to integrate what I had learned from (at the time) nearly 20 years of teaching experience with what I was learning in my MFA program. I didn't realize it at first, but my thesis was a first draft of the resources I had wished were available when I was first starting my teaching career.

I am so thrilled to share with you what I have learned! I adore the depth, complexity, and potential in this art form and I am grateful every day that I get to share my passion with others.
